About Us

"A dream you dream alone is only a dream, but a dream you dream together is a reality."

An Orphan's Wish began in February 2008 by people who share the same heart for orphans and for the children who would never have a chance at adoption. Brian & Kirsten Trower,an amazing and dedicated Australian couple, moved to China in 2002 and began working with several orphaned children who had CP and other physical needs.  With the help of An Orphan's Wish, they were be able to expand their work to create the House of Love. An Orphan's Wish  (AOW) raises funds for, manages and supports the medical and residential care home located just outside the city of Guilin in the Guangxi Province of China.

An Orphan's Wish, a registered 501 (c)3 corporation, is an all volunteer foundation. We have established a wonderful network of volunteers throughout the United States and other countries who dedicate their time and energy to helping these orphaned children. Our overhead costs are extremely low.  About 98% of every donation received goes directly to our projects in China to support the children from the House of Love.

We promote and encourage the partnership of the local Guilin community and local businesses. As we strive to increase their awareness of the needs of these children through education, we are seeing a steady increase in this community's commitment and dedication to helping these children.

At An Orphan's Wish we believe in creating awareness through training and educating our Chinese staff and partners. It is our ultimate goal that this project be completely run by the citizens of China. Currently, the Trowers oversee and direct our entire Chinese staff.
