Colton

Name: Colton
DOB: February 2006
Colton entered the House of Love in 2009 for treatment of his clubfeet. He was born in Hunan province. Over the years, he became the big brother of the Unit.
He enjoyed the activity times in the afternoon, creating with playdoh, learning how to use scissors, drawing, and puzzles. He loved to run as well and his balance is really improved. He continued to be the little clown; loving to tease and play games with the older kids.
In June 2011, Colton was adopted by his forever family.

We took him out to have a haircut recently during naptime. While he was gone Gregory, who shares the same room, started crying. The Carers finally worked out that he had thought that Colton had left – as soon as we signed to him that he had only gone for a hair cut – Gregory was fine and very happy to see him come back!
Colton said goodbye to Cris this month. They have been in the Unit together for about 1 year and got on well. The good thing was he too understood that she was going to meet her adoptive family and whenever Cris got her book of photos down – he would come over and proceed to explain who everyone was!
And as any good big brother, he has made it his business to help Ellira to learn the signs we use in the Unit! He likes his new winter clothes and told the Carer at bath time that “today’s clothes are very nice – I’m going to wear them again tomorrow”!
What a beautiful boy–inside and out!
