An Orphan's Wish: Roots to grow, wings to fly.

Gracie came to the House of Love in January 2008, a very unhappy, sick, little girl with a heart condition. It was expected that her VSD would close spontaneously, so we worked on her weight gain, and helping her catch up on some of her developmental milestones.

LWB raised the funds so she could have her surgery. It went very well, and after a time of recuperating back in the Babies Unit, she then went into foster care.

We were lucky that on occasion she back to visit us.  You can read more about Gracie on a  December 2010 blog post here.  We were told she was matched with a family.
