Mia arrived at our Clubfoot Casting Unit in July 2010 with bilateral clubfeet. After several months of treatment, Mia got out of her fulltime bracing stage. This meant that she was free to crawl around and berfore long,she was standing up as long as she could hold onto something firm. She quicklly added to her vocabulary, speaking more and more words, and we knew she understands everything the Carers say to her. She knews which jacket was hers, was quick to identify it and give it to the Carers for them to help her put it on. She played well with the other children. At the end of July 2011, Mia left for Foster Care with another child from the House of Love.
Mia (now Shani Mei) came home to in the spring of 2012. She is adjusting well to her new family and loves her new brother and sister.
