Jimmy has cerebral palsy. But he can whiz around in his wheelchair and is very independent. He uses a walker at times as well.
Jimmy is well respected by the other children as the big brother of the Unit. He gives direction to others and will intervene if there is a tiff going on or he sees someone doing the wrong thing. The kids all listen to him. Jacob works very hard to be on the Gold level on the award chart to earn time by himself playing the Wii. He is also doing daily physical exercises. The exercises are quite a challenge for him and he is always proud of his efforts when he's finished.
