Adoption
It is our sincerest hope at An Orphan's Wish that all of the children in our care would ultimately join forever families through adoption. Because all adoptions in China are handled by China through the governmental agency, the China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA), we are not able to facilitate adoptions in any way. Occasionally, some of the children in our care become available for adoption. Please visit our Waiting for a Family page to learn more about these children.
An Orphan's Wish is a charity, working to care for special needs children. We are not an adoption agency and do not have any insight or influence on who might be able to adopt the children from An Orphan's Wish. We are committed to caring for our children until they are placed into foster care, or adopted.
There are over 1500 special needs children in China currently waiting for families on the CCAA's shared listing. We recommend you to contact a Hague-accredited adoption agency to get more information regarding China's requirements and the adoption process. Additionally, there are numerous websites devoted to adoption and we encourage you to learn more about the need for families to bring orphans from China into loving homes!
